No copy-paste between them. Both run in one app on the subscriptions you already have. Free and open source.
upload.ts. Starting a Codex review.pnpm test passes.upload.ts and its tests.Have one agent check another’s work and fix what it finds, with no copy-paste.
You see everything they send each other and can step in anytime.
pnpm test passes.bb comes with everything you need: worktrees, diffs, automations, a mobile app and more.
When you want more—or less—customize in Settings, browse the plugin marketplace, or ask an agent to build exactly what you need.
It’s available wherever you use bb, including your phone.
Any agent can start new threads with any provider, hand each one part of the job, and message them as they work. When a thread finishes, the agent that started it hears back on its own, so one task becomes a multi-agent team.
bb gives each agent its own Git worktree and branch, so a dozen agents can work on one repo without overwriting each other.
List your .env files and setup commands once, and every new worktree starts ready to work.
If an agent hits a usage limit, bb keeps your work moving.
Spread work across the accounts you already have, and schedule it around your limits.
Put bb on a desktop or server that stays on, and your agents keep going after you close your laptop.
Check in from the mobile app or any browser.
Yes. bb runs the agents you already use, signed in the way you already pay for them: a Claude Pro or Max plan, a ChatGPT plan for Codex, a Cursor plan, API keys, or any other provider’s plan. Your existing setup comes along too (CLAUDE.md, skills, MCP servers, and agent settings).
Yes. Give each thread its own Git worktree so agents don’t overwrite each other’s changes. List your .env files and setup commands once, and bb prepares every new worktree. By default, bb runs one thread per processor core and starts the rest as others finish.
bb picks the work back up. When an agent stops on a usage limit that reports when it resets, bb sends the message again a little after the reset, up to four times per turn, so you don’t have to come back and press send. Credit and spend limits aren’t retried.
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode, plus Pi, Grok Build, omp, and Hermes Agent. In Settings, add any other agent that supports the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), an open standard for connecting coding agents to apps, like Gemini CLI or Devin. You can also add one with a plugin. Each thread can use a different agent.
Yes, for one person or a whole team. The mobile app, remote machines, automations, and plugins are all included. You pay only for the agent plans or API keys you already use, from any provider. The code is on GitHub under the MIT license.
Yes: bb runs on your machines, so your code goes only where your agents send it, the AI providers you chose. Anonymous usage stats exclude code and prompts and can be turned off. The bb Connect relay doesn’t store traffic, but isn’t end-to-end encrypted.
No. bb runs Claude Code on your own computer, signed in as usual with a Claude plan or an API key, and your phone reaches bb through bb Connect, bb’s free remote access. There’s no terminal to leave open, and Codex and your other agents show up in the same list.
Yes, for free. Use the bb mobile app, a public beta on iPhone through TestFlight (Apple’s beta testing app) and in alpha on Android, or open bb in any browser through bb Connect, bb’s free remote access. The app adds push notifications; everything else works in the browser.
Yes. Ask the agent to share its dev server with bb Connect, then open the link on your phone. Only you can open it, signed in to your getbb.app account.
Yes. Your agents run on your own machines, so the computer running bb has to stay awake and online. Switch on Keep Awake, a built-in bb plugin, to stop idle sleep on macOS and Windows. To step away with your laptop closed, run bb on an always-on desktop, home server, or cloud VM.
Free and open source, on your own machines. Bring the agents you already use.
