Thread Management 1

Find, identify, organize, or archive threads.

Header PinsSwitch between your pinned threads in one click from the empty title bar strip at the top of the BB window. Each chip carries a status dot for the thread and its child threads: yellow waits for you, blue works, green finished and unread. A colored bar marks the thread with its project color when Chat Sidebar by Evgeniy Perin is installed, which we recommend, and with its provider's color otherwise. Hover a chip to unpin it in place. Needs the BB desktop app; no account or network access.

Agents & Providers 1

Add, choose, configure, route, or coordinate who runs a thread.

Fast Switch AccountsSwitch to another Claude Code or Codex login when the current one runs out of quota, without leaving BB. See each saved account's remaining limits before you pick one, then start the next thread on it. Add an account through the provider's own browser sign-in. Saved logins stay in the macOS Keychain. Tokens go only to Anthropic and OpenAI. Cursor and other providers show limits only. Runs on macOS only. Codex switching needs the Codex CLI signed in with ChatGPT and the Xcode Command Line Tools.

Themes & Appearance 1

Personalize how bb looks and feels.

Compact RailMake more room on a small desktop screen with compact navigation and narrower window gutters. Use a 40 px navigation rail with full-size icons and frame gutters at 60% of their default size. Resize the thread sidebar while its list fills the available width. Requires BB 0.46+ and Plugin SDK 0.6.37+; applies to desktop widths with a fine pointer and uses internal layout selectors.

Thread Content 1

Change what people see or do inside an open thread.

Close TabKeep the preview down to the files you still need, and close each tab like in a browser instead of aiming at a tiny ×. Double-click or middle-click a tab you have read; on a Mac trackpad a three-finger click works too. Control+W and a palette command close the active tab, because ⌘W closes the window. A × at the right of the preview header hides the panel when you are back to the chat.

File Viewers & Editors 1

Browse, open, preview, or edit files and document vaults.

File TreeKeep project files in view while you move between BB threads. Pin a project source or thread workspace, search by name or path, and preview files. Send a file path to a chosen chat draft, create a blank markdown file, or delete a file after confirmation. Copy paths or files, and reveal files in Finder. Requires access to the files on the BB machine; Finder reveal is macOS-only.
