Office Viewer

Opens Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF, images and video right in BB's side panel, on any device you browse from. Spreadsheets recalculate live formulas and save edits to .xlsx and .csv without touching the formatting. Pictures open in an editor for arrows, boxes, text, numbered steps, blur and crop, and the result goes straight into the chat. Select cells, a PDF passage or a slide and quote it to the agent. Runs locally: no account, API key or external service.

What you get

Office Viewer opens spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint and PDF documents, images, videos and audio in BB's side panel: .xlsx, .xlsm, .xlsb, .xls, .ods, .csv and .tsv, from chat links, the file picker and bb thread open.

A familiar grid — column letters, row numbers, a frozen first row, right-aligned numbers and merged cells.
Big sheets stay fast — only the visible part is drawn, so thousands of rows scroll smoothly.
Values as in Excel — number and date formats from the file; the cell bar shows the full value and the formula.
Search — find text anywhere in the sheet and step through matches with Enter.
Links and copying — ⌘-click opens URLs from cells; copy any selection with ⌘C.
Quote in chat — select cells, right-click and send them to the agent as a table with the file, sheet and range, plus your comment.
Edit without losing formatting — change .xlsx and .csv files in place. Only the edited cells are rewritten, so styles, conditional formatting, comments, charts and macros stay exactly as they were.
CSV that just works — comma, semicolon or tab separators; UTF-8 or Windows-1251 text.

Word documents

.docx opens as Word-like pages with styles, tables, pictures, headers and footnotes, fitted to the panel width. The legacy .doc shows its text. Download the original with one click.

Search the text (⌘F), zoom, and quote a selection into the chat.

PowerPoint

.pptx, .ppsx and .potx open as slides with thumbnails, keyboard navigation, full-screen presenting, speaker notes and a Quote in chat button that sends the current slide's text to the agent. The old .ppt can be downloaded only.

PDF

.pdf opens as a continuous scroll with zoom (fit width, fit page, ⌘ +/−/0), a page box to jump to a page, text search with highlights, selectable text and Quote in chat for the selection. Password-protected files ask for the password. Download with one click.

Images, videos and audio

Pictures, GIFs, SVGs and videos (.png, .jpg, .gif, .webp, .svg, .mp4, .mov, .webm and more) open with Download to the device you're on and Copy to the clipboard for images. Images zoom, pan and step through their folder. Edit marks a picture up — boxes, arrows, text, numbered steps, highlighter, blur, crop, rotate — and saves a copy, overwrites it, or sends it to the chat. Videos get speed, repeat, frame steps, picture in picture and Frame, which opens the current frame in the editor. Videos play and seek in any browser, iPhone and iPad included. Audio (.mp3, .wav, .ogg voice messages, .m4a, .flac and more) opens in a player with a waveform, stop, ±10 s, repeat, volume and speed 0.5×–2×.

Machine-aware files

A file is read on the machine of the thread, environment or project it came from, whichever device you browse BB on.

Requirements

BB 0.43 or later. No account, API key or external service. Files up to 30 MB; .xls, .xlsb and .ods open read-only. The interface is Russian when BB's language or the browser's first language is Russian, English otherwise.

File ManagerManage the files on the machine bb runs on without a terminal: browse, upload, move, rename, extract and hand them to the agent. Opens as a sidebar page, as a tab beside a thread that can start in that thread's folder, and from a file link in a message. Double-click shows images, PDF, video, Markdown and code; Space looks inside zip, tar, 7z and rar archives without extracting them. Multi-gigabyte uploads resume after a dropped connection. On a phone, selected rows get an Actions bar with the whole row menu. Access stays inside the home folder of the user bb runs as; tar, 7z and rar archives need tar and 7z on that machine.

FilesA VS Code-style file explorer and editor for the workspace behind a thread. Search in files finds a word across every file in the project: results are grouped by file with each hit highlighted, and clicking one opens the file on that line. It is smart case, with match-case, whole-word and regex toggles, and built for typing — file contents stay in memory between searches, so refining a query re-runs in tens of milliseconds, and a regex runs in its own worker so a runaway pattern cannot freeze BB. Around it: a file tree that shows dotfiles, editor tabs, a go-to-file palette (Cmd+P), find in the open file (Cmd+F), syntax highlighting in your BB code theme, and edit and save guarded so a change an agent made underneath you is never clobbered. Markdown files open rendered, with the source and the editor one click away. Two pickers choose the project and then its checkout or one of its worktrees; beside a thread it is pinned to that thread's worktree.
