Zen Koi

A pond while your agent works

When an agent starts a turn, a pixel-art koi pond opens on top of the thread's chat input and runs on into it, so your koi swim under the text you type. Koi wander, rest, keep each other company, and come over when your pointer rests on the water. Click to scatter a little food.

Koi-sukui in one tap

Switch to Catch for the festival game of scooping koi with a paper poi. The poi moves and dips by itself; when a koi is right over it a ! shows, and you tap the water, or press Space or Enter, to scoop it. Tap too soon and the koi darts off. Each koi you catch rests in a floating bowl, then goes back to the pond. Wet paper tears now and then, and after 15 seconds without a tap the poi plays by itself. When the turn ends, a small note says how many koi you caught.

Your own pond

Open Zen Pond from the navigation rail to visit any time. Draw koi for a random variety and name, keep up to nine, and watch them grow from 15 to 45 cm over two weeks. Choose the stone lantern, an overhanging tree that changes with the seasons, lily pads, and water plants. Season, time of day, and weather follow your calendar and clock, or stay where you pin them. Rain drifts between a drizzle and a steady shower.

Sound and calm

Sound is off until you turn it on: moving water, a wind chime, the odd knock of a shishi-odoshi, and rain, in a soft reverb. A breathing guide is there when you want it. The pond honors reduced motion, rests when it is out of view, and never takes focus from the chat input.

Your koi, garden, and catch counts are stored on your bb server. Nothing leaves it.
