Thread Management 2

Find, identify, organize, or archive threads.

Thread Hover CardsSee what any thread or section is doing without opening it. Hover a thread in the sidebar for its status, model, run time, latest agent message, and pull request. Hover a section header to see open questions, failed runs, and unread threads without expanding it.

Thread OrganizerTurns your sidebar sections into a workflow agents follow, with unread work collected in the right inbox. Name stages, write their rules, and add entry prompts to start a review or another step when a thread arrives. Create inboxes for individual plugins; the main Inbox catches other idle unread threads and returns them to their stage when work resumes or a message is queued. Agents move their own threads with one command, and command-line configuration changes ask for your approval before saving.

Themes & Appearance 3

Personalize how bb looks and feels.

AmbientTurns bb's background into a live scene that shows what your agents are doing at a glance. Each working agent becomes a character in the scene, a thread waiting on you pulses, and a finished turn sends out a ripple that turns red on an error. Describe a scene in your own words and an agent paints it in a new thread, complete with its own sliders, or let a daily automation paint a new one each day. Ten built-in scenes, including Poppy Hill, Koi Pond, and Starry Fjord, each have their own sliders and four-color palette. Runs inside bb with no external service; each painted scene uses one agent turn on your default provider.

EndlessRestyles bb in the silver print of Frank Ocean's Endless, in light and dark mode. Choose the achromatic endless palette, or endless-color, which adds rare accents sampled from the film. Corners are square, and type follows the album's Helvetica and Courier.

Prism FrameGive your app frame a moving sheen and your mention pills a glass finish that follows your theme. Adjust motion and intensity, or style mentions separately. Colors adapt when you switch themes or appearance modes. Requires bb 0.46 or newer; no external service or account is needed.

Thread Content 6

Change what people see or do inside an open thread.

Plugin FinderFind the plugin for your task without leaving the thread. Type # or @ and a keyword to search the plugins you have and the ones in BB Community, then mention the one you want your agent to use. Your agent can also search the catalog itself from the command line.

Color SwatchesShows a color chip beside CSS values in messages, code, and diffs, so you can recognize colors without copying them into another tool.

Emoji PickerAdd emojis to the composer. Type : to open the picker and replace the colon with your choice. Search by name, keyword, or shortcode, browse eight categories, and return to recent choices with your preferred skin tone. Uses system-rendered emojis and works offline without another account or service.

Token Usage & Limits 1

Understand or control token, context-window, and provider-quota use.

Context KatamariShows how full each thread's context window is as a katamari that grows with every turn and pops when bb compacts. A floating window gives the open thread a 3D toy-box world whose ball size tracks tokens used against the auto-compact point. The HUD shows tokens used, context left, a bar for each recent turn, and a count of compactions. The cousin rolls while the thread works, drops coins past 50k tokens, and gets dizzier after each compaction. Everything runs inside bb, with synthesized sound you can mute.

Environments & Cloud 1

Create and manage where threads run, locally or in the cloud.

Server SwitcherSee which bb server you are on and switch to another server on your account in one click. A strip above the sidebar footer shows the current server's name, address, online status, and your GitHub avatar. Click it to list the other servers on your bb account; offline servers are greyed out, and in the desktop app the switch goes through the app's own server menu. Give each server its own colored ring, from seven presets, a custom color, or a two-color gradient, in a picker beside the sidebar or with the bb server-switcher ring command. Requires a bb signed in to a bb account with the bundled bb connect plugin enabled.
