Make more room for threads with a vertical strip of sidebar icons. Keep your saved navigation order and hidden destinations, with controls to rearrange them or open panels in a split. Start a new thread from the sidebar header, and use hover labels, selected states, and badges to find your way. Requires BB 0.42+ and Plugin SDK 0.5.15+, with no extra service, account, or API key.

Navigation on the left, threads on the right

Nav Rail moves BB's navigation into a vertical rail of icon buttons on the left edge of the sidebar, stacked under the sidebar toggle on a slightly darker strip. New thread moves into the header row, left-aligned with the thread rows under it. Rail buttons match BB's own header controls: 28px with 16px icons on desktop, 36px with 20px icons on phones. Hover labels and selected states identify each destination.

Keep your navigation preferences

Your existing order and hidden items carry over, because Nav Rail reads them from BB. Open More (…) → Customize sidebar, or right-click an icon, to reorder destinations or hide them. Hidden destinations stay reachable from More. Right-click also offers Open in split and View details for plugin panels, and panel counts show as small badges.

Enable or restore

Installing Nav Rail selects it for both Navigation and Header under Settings → Appearance. Set Header back to bb (built-in) to keep New thread as a row above the thread list instead. Set Navigation to Navigation, or disable the plugin, to restore BB's rows.
