Simple Summaries

Keep the latest thread summary in view as small italic text above the composer. Read the full summary with natural wrapping and no widget controls or badges. Generate summaries on demand or automatically after a thread becomes idle. Requires a configured BB provider and model; generation uses its normal subscription allowance or API billing.

Stay oriented

The latest summary sits above the composer in small italic text. Long summaries wrap naturally. The widget contains no heading, icon, timestamp, status badge, buttons, or card border.

Choose when to summarize

Generate a summary from the command palette or the Simple Summaries panel, or enable automatic summaries after a thread becomes idle. Set the idle delay, minimum turn count, prompt, and generation concurrency in settings. Choose Summary text to show the widget or On demand to hide it.

Summaries are display-only: they do not replace or compact the conversation and are not injected into the agent's context.

Requirements

Select an available BB provider and model in the plugin settings. Generation sends conversation text to that provider and uses its normal subscription allowance or API billing. No separate summary service is required.
