Agentic MermaidDraws Mermaid diagrams in chat with outlined boxes, routed edges, and your theme's colors. Renders 15 diagram types, including gantt, pie, mindmap, timeline, and architecture, through the agentic-mermaid library. Git graphs and types it can't draw keep bb's own renderer. Diagrams recolor when you switch between light and dark mode. Relies on bb internals, so a bb update can return diagrams to the stock renderer until the plugin catches up.

Chat FindPress Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on Mac) in any bb chat to find words in the conversation, with every match highlighted where it appears. Enter and Shift+Enter step through matches, and the chat scrolls each one clear of the composer, including matches inside bold text, links, and syntax-highlighted code. The count updates while an agent is still replying, without losing your place. Escape closes the bar and puts the cursor back where it was. It searches the messages the chat has loaded, leaves Ctrl+F to the embedded browser and terminals when they have focus, and needs no account or external service.

Simple SummariesKeep the latest thread summary in view as small italic text above the composer. Read the full summary with natural wrapping and no widget controls or badges. Generate summaries on demand or automatically after a thread becomes idle. Requires a configured BB provider and model; generation uses its normal subscription allowance or API billing.

Token Usage & Limits 1

Understand or control token, context-window, and provider-quota use.

Turn TPSShow tokens per second on every completed turn, so a slow answer is visible without opening a log. Each finished turn gets a badge under the assistant message with output tokens, wall-clock duration, and the resulting rate, and the turn header carries the same figure in short form. Reads usage the provider reports where BB has it, and the local OMP session file for ACP and OMP threads, which report none. The rate divides output tokens by the full turn duration, so tool calls and provider waits count against it; it is not a model decode benchmark. Needs a completed turn, and the ACP and OMP path needs that thread's OMP session file on the machine running BB.

File Viewers & Editors 1

Browse, open, preview, or edit files and document vaults.

Live MarkdownEdit Markdown right in the side panel, with formatting rendered as you type and saves that change only the characters you typed. Tables stay tables while you edit: click a cell to change its raw Markdown in place, Tab to the next cell, and Tab past the last one to add a row. Every save checks the file's hash first, so a file an agent changed while you typed asks you to keep your version or load the disk version instead of being overwritten. It becomes the opener for .md, .mdx and .markdown files on install unless you already chose one under Settings, and needs bb 0.43 or later with no account or external service.

Tasks & Workflows 1

Plan, track, route, schedule, or automate work.

Plan ModeLock agents into a read-only planning phase before they touch code or run commands. Refuses execution requests and directs you to switch to Implement mode when ready to proceed. Features instant toggling via Shift+Tab or the composer button, a distinctive dashed border while active, and configurable default-on settings for new chats. Injects instructions silently at turn submit without displaying in the prompt or timeline.
